The Packaging Innovation Cluster of the Valencian Community is a trade association that brings together innovative companies in order to focus on cooperation strategies aimed at making these companies more competitive by way of product, technology, process innovation, etc.
The actions of the Cluster are supported by the European Union, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, the Department of Industry, Commerce and Innovation and the Instituto Tecnológico del Embalaje, Transporte y Logística (ITENE – Technological Institute of Packaging, Transport and Logistics).
According to the definition by Professor Michael Porter from Harvard University, an industrial cluster is "a geographic concentration of interconnected companies, specialised suppliers, service providers, firms in related industries, and associated institutions (for example universities, standards agencies and trade associations) in particular fields that compete but also cooperate". |
